7 string Guitar


As the name suggests, a 7-string guitar has one more string than a standard instrument. This additional string has its place in the bass, namely under the low E string. Usually the additional string was tuned to B (B) and thus the pitch range was significantly expanded downwards. Some string artists went one step further - or under it - and tuned the string to A, that is, a whole tone lower. Therefore, with a 7-string guitar the following tuning results (starting with the 7th string in the bass): B - E - A - D - G - B - E
