Semi-acoustic electric guitars (hollowbody and semi-hollowbody); Combining the best of both worlds - this attempt is behind the semi-hollow construction. The guitars of this type rely on a solid construction of the body with large cutouts under the ceiling and classic sound holes. With this type of construction, the airy, elegant sounds of the hollow body guitar can be combined with the feedback security and feel of the solid body electric guitar. Many of the best-known guitar models such as Les Paul or Telecaster are offered in semi-hollow versions and offer interesting sound variations. Acoustically, the guitars are also in the middle: louder and more present than solid body instruments, but less “full-fledged” than pure hollow bodies, they sound balanced and are also suitable for unamplified rehearsals and practice.
