Orange Crush Bass 25 Bass Amp

Product information "Orange Crush Bass 25 Bass Amp"

BRINGING THE ‘ORANGE SOUND’ TO THE REHEARSAL ROOM…

You wouldn’t compromise your bass sound with the band, so why should practising at home be any different? Whilst the Crush Bass 25 may be the smallest model in the Crush Bass amp range, it still retains the warm and rounded tonal character that makes Orange Amps the choice of some of the world’s most iconic bass players.

This 25 Watt combo features an all-analogue signal path, a ported cabinet for improved low end response plus a highly responsive active EQ section. Like the rest of the Crush Bass range, the amp’s variable parametric mid band allows for unlimited control over a broad range of frequencies in addition to the bass and treble. Dial in a massive range of classic bass tones or create your own. With an integrated tuner, an aux. input for backing tracks and a headphone output with our CabSim circuitry, the Crush Bass 25 gives all players the perfect miniature rig on which to hone their tone.

POWERFUL ACTIVE PARAMETRIC EQ

The Crush Bass 25 features an EQ circuit inspired by our prestigious 4 Stroke Series amplifiers. At its centre is a parametric mid band. This presents players with a much greater degree of control over the sound than a traditional EQ, allowing them to vary the frequencies they want hear. The mid band covers a wide range, sweeping from 300Hz (fully counter-clockwise) to 2.7kHz (fully clockwise), meaning this amp can be fine tuned to suit any musical style. The active circuitry allows for up to 15dB of boost or cut on the bass and middle frequencies, and up to 20dB on the treble side.

ANALOGUE DESIGN & PORTED CABINET

The Crush Bass series delivers a fat, rounded sound thanks to an all-analogue signal path. The Crush Bass 25 houses a 8” speaker with a reflex port for improved low-end response.

CABSIM HEADPHONE OUTPUT, AUX INPUT & CHROMATIC TUNER

The headphone output features our Cabsim circuitry which emulates the response of our stage-ready OBC bass speaker cabinets during silent practice. This signal can also be sent to a console for seriously authentic direct recording. The Aux. Input allows for connecting external audio sources for backing tracks whilst the handy onboard tuner makes for quick tune-ups between jams.

rocker verb
The Rockerverb series is a guitar amp series that, like all Orange amps except for the Crush, is an all-tube amp designed primarily for rock, punk and metal styles. It has a two-stage structure and has two channels: clean and dirty channel, with the dirty channel corresponding to normal distortion.
thunder verb
The Thunderverb series, on the other hand, is a bit more moderate: Although they have a similar structure to the Rockerverbs, they have a slightly softer sound.
Thunder
Orange's Thunder series are described as Orange's cleanest sounding, highest gain amps. They have a two-channel structure throughout: clean channel with treble, bass and volume; Dirty channel with volume, shape and gain.
In terms of power, they are available in two versions: 30 watts as a TH30H top or TH30C combo amplifier with four EL84 pentodes in the power stage or 100 watts as a TH100H top with four EL34 power pentodes. The preamp is the same for both variants with four 12AX7-ECC83 triodes. The Thunder series also features a tube-buffered effects loop using an ECC81 triode.
Both variants can be switched to different power levels. The 30 watt variant can be switched to 15 and 7 watts, the 100 watt variant to 70, 50 and 35 watts.
crush
The Crush series is Orange's entry-level guitar series: it includes numerous models of transistor amplifiers as combo amplifiers or heads. The smallest model is the Micro-Crush Pix 3 combo amp with 3 watts of power and one 4" speaker. The largest combo amp is the Crush CR120C with 120 watts of power and two 12" speakers. This model is also available as a top (CR120H).
tiny terror
The Tiny Terror is a compact all-tube guitar amp with an output power of 15 watts. The preamp is equipped with two ECC83 tubes, in the power amp there are two EL84 pentodes. The Tiny Terror amplifiers are also available as bass amplifiers, with the same preamp, but with power amplifiers in Class D technology with outputs of 500 watts (Terror Bass 500) or 1000 watts (Terror Bass 1000). Characteristic is the white, compact sheet steel housing (except for the Dark Terror) with a carrying handle on the top and the spartan equipment. The Tiny Terror only has one volume, gain and one tone control each, only the bass amplifier and the special model Dark Terror have an effects loop, although only the latter is equipped with an additional preamp tube for this purpose.
Dual terror
The largest model in the Terror series is equipped with four ECC83 tubes in the preamp and four EL84 tubes in the power amp and has two channels. The output power is 30 watts. The white sheet steel housing is similar to that of the Tiny Terror, but slightly larger.
MicroTerror
The Micro Terror is a hybrid guitar head that is based on the Tiny Terror in terms of looks and sound. The amplifier is only 165mm wide, 135mm high, 92mm deep and has one channel. An ECC83 tube works in the preamp, the 20 watt output power is generated with a transistor output stage. The four control elements are located on the front of the white sheet steel housing: an on/off switch, a volume control, a tone control and a gain control. The amplifier is powered by a supplied external power supply. In 2015, Orange introduced the Micro Dark, which is based on the sound of the Dark Terror and Dual Dark amplifiers. Another difference to the Micro Terror is that the case is black. In addition, the Aux-In input has been omitted, but the Micro Dark has an effect loop.
AD series
The AD series stands for the retro sound. The AD series is available for electric bass and electric guitar. In terms of quality and price, the AD amplifiers are superior to the Tiny Terrors.
