Wireless Systems

A conventional microphone requires a wired connection to the mixer, whereas the wireless microphone sends the audio signal wirelessly through the air to the receiver. Thus, the singer can move freely up to a certain range. Wireless microphones consist of a receiving station and a hand-held transmitter or a bodypack transmitter with a headset, or the bodypack transmitter is connected directly to the instrument. The various wireless systems differ in their signal range, selection of frequencies and quality of sound transmission.
