Drum Pedals

The foot machine is used to play the large drum "bass drum" with the foot. A mallet is attached to the pedal, which is operated via a chain, a belt and a metal joint via the pedal. By stepping on the pedal, the mallet is hit on the skin. When the pedal is released, a spring ensures that the mallet swings back. There are single foot machines and double foot machines. The double foot machine has 2 mallets and 2 foot pedal units for a faster, driving rhythm and thus to generate a bass drum cadence that is twice as fast.
