Shure has introduced the SM7dB as an alternative version to its classic SM7B, featuring a built-in preamplifier that provides an optional +18 dB or +28 dB level boost. For use with external preamplifiers, the integrated preamp can also be bypassed, maintaining the sound characteristics of the classic SM7B.
Thanks to its exceptionally clear and warm sound reproduction, this microphone is highly favored for recording guitars and bass amplifiers.
The Shure SM7dB is fully equipped for professional studio or demanding home studio applications. The integrated swivel mount allows for precise positioning and secure attachment. An air-suspended shock absorber minimizes mechanical transmissions, and the two included windshields can be easily swapped as needed.
Included in the package of the Shure SM7dB studio microphone are a switch cover plate, close-talk windscreen, and a 5/8" to 3/8" thread adapter.
