Sonor GBKX 100 Deep Bass Xylophone, tonal range c-a1, overtone tuning, C-major scale with f-sharp, b-flat and f-sharp1, 16 bars, palisono bars 45x20mm, resonator boxes with 6 chambers made of pinewood, ply-wood, incl. 1 pair mallets SCH15, Palisono is a fiberglass-enforced material, that was developed by Sonor in cooperation with specialists in composite fabrics. The sound characteristics of Palisono make it ideally suited for the manufacturing of xylophones. A main feature of Palisono is its resistance against humiditiy and temperature changes thus ensuring perfect pitch and durable tuning quality.

What began in 1875 by Johannes Link with the production of military drums and drum skins has developed over the decades into a world-famous company for drum and percussion instruments. The Sonor trademark was registered with the Imperial Patent Office in 1907 and in 1925 Sonor, with almost 150 employees, became the largest company of its kind at the time.
After difficult post-war years and the embargo imposed on the Link founding family by the GDR, the company was rebuilt in 1946 in Aue/Westphalia. Consul Otto Link, son of the company founder, and his son Horst turned the original drum workshop into a modern operation and a world-famous company. Drummers and percussionists appreciate Sonor Drums because of their high manufacturing and sound quality.
