YAMAHA DXS 18 active loudspeaker subwoofer
With the DXS18 Yamaha extends its active DXS subwoofer series with a new model. Building on the design principles of the DXS12 and DXS15 subwoofers, the DXS18 comes with a redesigned chassis, enhanced DSP processor, new protection features and even more efficient crossover. Powered by a 1020W Class D amplifier and 18 "woofer, including a rugged 4" voice coil, the DXS18 delivers an impressive maximum level of 136 db SPL. The extended bass reproduction of the bandpass cabinet down to 32 Hz impresses even at high levels with exceptional clarity and minimal distortion. For setups with two or more DXS18 subwoofers, the newly developed Cardioid mode also effectively reduces the bass level on the stage side while increasing the level in the audience area.
