The Split Tone Pad developed with Anika Nilles has three different surfaces for different playing feelings, different volumes and a deliberately reduced rebound behavior on the back. As a result, this pad offers much more than just the well-known practice of rudiments. With the Split Tone Pad you can creatively implement your own systematic approach to improve your accuracy and consistency combined with independence, power and dynamics. Another special feature of this pad is the possibility to train your hearing and understanding of special rhythms. The middle zone has a normal rebound behavior and is perfect for practicing as usual. The additional, red zones have a higher sound than the main area. If these are only played with the right or left hand, this divides the exercises into two different sounds, which means that familiar stickings can be perceived in a new way. The soft, oval zone at the top offers a muffled sound. If you integrate this area into your hand set, it is possible to draw your attention very strongly to the other hand in order to recognize mistakes and weak points there and to improve them. The playing surface on the back has less rebound due to a special surface. With it you can warm up quickly and gain additional strength. The 12 "Practice Pad was specially designed for the marching area. The pattern on the playing surface gives the player the correct arm position.
