Manufacturer "Gretsch"
Gretsch is an American company that manufactures a variety of acoustic and electric stringed instruments and drums. It was founded in Brooklyn in 1883 by the German emigrant Friedrich Gretsch from Mannheim and has been in the hands of the family ever since - with the exception of the years 1967 to 1985 as part of the Baldwin Piano Company - for a total of five generations. In the course of the company's history, various cooperation agreements have been concluded. Since 2002, the Fender company, as the owner of the trademark rights, has controlled the exclusive production and distribution of the guitar division, while the company DW Drums took over the worldwide production and distribution of the drums in 2015. However, the Gretsch family still owns the company.
