The Calftone batter skins are a synthetic alternative to traditional calf leather. The look and sound of these skins are reminiscent of calfskin, with their durability, fit and tuning range standardized by Level 360 Technology™. These batter skins consist of a 7mil thick foil and a unique material mix for the surface. They are thinner than our bass heads to optimize the sound for smaller drums, higher tuning and better response.
