The design principle of these bongos was adapted from conventional drum boiler construction. Here five layers of wood are formed into a cauldron and glued. This results in light but robust bongos with a pronounced resonance. Added to this is Meinl's patented Free Ride System, in which the bongos are connected without holes in the boiler.
