Sonor Bar Chimes BC 16 with damper

This reduced version of the Bar Chimes with a range of 16 bars is well suited for sets with little space or for arrangements where the effect should not last too long.

The chimes can be mounted on a cymbal stand or attached to a hardware tube with the CBH Chime Bar Holder. High-quality aluminum rods provide a brilliant, powerful sound. A damping system allows a controlled rapid decay.

What began in 1875 by Johannes Link with the production of military drums and drum skins has developed over the decades into a world-famous company for drum and percussion instruments. The Sonor trademark was registered with the Imperial Patent Office in 1907 and in 1925 Sonor, with almost 150 employees, became the largest company of its kind at the time.

After difficult post-war years and the embargo imposed on the Link founding family by the GDR, the company was rebuilt in 1946 in Aue/Westphalia. Consul Otto Link, son of the company founder, and his son Horst turned the original drum workshop into a modern operation and a world-famous company. Drummers and percussionists appreciate Sonor Drums because of their high manufacturing and sound quality.
