Dunlop Manufacturing, better known as Jim Dunlop, is a Benicia-based American company, founded in 1964, that manufactures accessories for guitars and electric basses. In addition to effect devices such as the well-known wah-wah pedal Dunlop Cry Baby and the modules of the Rockman series, the company also produces also capo and picks, e.g. B. made of the plastic Delrin (“tortex”).
In 2001, Dunlop bought the rights to the MXR effect device brand from ART and was able to expand its range to include other products in the field of floor effects for guitar and bass. Dunlop has also been making guitar and bass strings since 2006.
