The Precise OS Cajon models impress with Schlagwerk's usual aesthetically reduced basic design thanks to the natural beauty of the selected woods and veneers. Visually high-quality, the overall picture is also underlined acoustically. The Precise OS models in particular can impress with a large dynamic spectrum: starting with a quiet, very finely responsive snare sound, which offers a great, round character even when played more strongly, through to the very balanced bass foundation.

The core of the percussion includes the timpani, the bass drum, the snare drum, the cymbals and the triangle. The spectrum of the percussion mechanism has continued to expand to this day. Instruments such as glockenspiel and other mallets (xylophone, vibraphone, marimba), tubular bells, celesta, tam-tam, gong and a still growing number of effect instruments (ratchet, horn, flexaton, thunder plate, piston whistle, guiro, rainwood, castanets, wind machine, etc. ) can now be part of a percussionist's stock of instruments.

In contemporary music compositions, unusual sound generators such as vacuum cleaners, typewriters or sirens are usually entrusted to the percussion register, although they have nothing to do with "beat" in the narrower sense.
