The Meinl Sonic Energy Tingsha corresponds to the classic Tibetan cymbals. This instrument consists of two metal plates at each end of a cord. To produce the bell-like tone, it is sufficient to gently strike the cymbals against each other. The special feature of this instrument lies in the interval between the two cymbals. This interval is an octave higher than the alpha state of our brain. When we hear the sounds that each cymbal shares through its overtones and perceive the leap between them, it becomes easier to enter a meditative state. Tingshas are also used to release blockages in a person's vibrational field as well as in an environment.
