The Grammy-nominated producer, composer and instrumentalist Diego Galé has dedicated his artistic life to the knowledge of Afro-Cuban music and has integrated it into his music in his own special way. The MEINL Percussion Diego Galé Artist Series congas and bongos are specially tailored to Diego's needs in terms of comfort, appearance and sound. Diego started playing bongo very early and later also started playing congas. He wanted his signature instruments to be made of wood so that they better represent the beginnings of his musical journey. Thanks to the Chamchuri wood and brushed nickel hardware, these shells have a breathtaking, unique look. Their sound is rich and very dynamic. They offer well articulated highs and warm lows so they are perfect for studio as well as live performances. The congas have the classic MEINL shape and are available in two versions: with buffalo skin skins or Remo Fiberskyn Symmetry skins. The bongos are available with calfskin skins or Remo Fiberskyn Symmetry skins.
