A western guitar is an acoustic guitar with steel strings. It is also called a folk guitar and has a narrower neck than a concert guitar. Due to the steel strings and their construction, acoustic guitars have a penetrating, silvery clear sound. They are great for accompanying songs and also as a background instrument in a band.

A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) is an original wood reforming technology developed by Yamaha. Through precise controll of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood can be manipulated into a more acoustically ideal condition, similar to the molecular characteristics of woods in instruments that have been played for years.New Designed Bracing PatternA modified non-scalloped bracing design retains the L series’ characteristic bright tone while enhancing low-end tone. High Comfortable Traditional Neck ProfileA reevaluation of string spacing, string height, fingerboard binding, and neck taper led to a new neck shape that better fits today’s raditional players. The new design offers stable grip and smooth playability over the full length of the neck.New 5-ply neck designs are constructed of rosewood and mahogany plies. The design integrates the neck, head, and body into a single unit creating a powerful, rich sound. This approach also creates a strong, stable neck that resists twisting and warping.Body: Original Jumbo Type Top: Solid Engelmann Spruce A.R.E. The LÂG Travel Red Cedar Sauvage is perfect for all kinds of adventures. The short neck, short scale and rounded body make this guitar the perfect all-rounder. The fact that the back and sides are made of smoked eucalyptus with a rough sawn look gives the guitar a natural look. No travel guitar would be complete without a roadworthy gig bag, and so the Sauvage Travel comes with a durable yet lightweight holdall featuring a compass rose design to match the guitar's rosette.Design: travel guitarTop wood: Canadian red cedar (solid)Back & sides wood: Smoked Eucalyptus (rough sawn)Finish: satinBridge wood: Brown BrankowoodBridge: Graphite black compensated (72mm)NeckType of wood: KhayaFinish: satinTruss rod: 2-way systemFretboard Wood: Brown BrankowoodFrets: Silver Nickel (20)Scale: 600 mmheadstockHeadstock wood: Brown Brankowood with maple inlayMechanics: die-cast, satin black, gear ratio 1:18Saddle: Graphite Black (43mm)AccesoriesWith gig bag
