Windscreen WS 81 Close range sounds, wind, and fast movements of the microphone boom, all may cause interfering noises. To avoid these unwanted sounds, windscreen accessories are available. Typically, they are made out of open-cell polyurethane foam. These windscreens do not cause interfering resonances and do not influence the directional pattern. Only in the upper frequency range is the output level slightly attenuated. The wind noise attenuation was measured without electrical filtering in a turbulent air stream traveling at 20 km/h, generated by a noiseless wind machine.Wind noise attenuation 15 dB. Attenuation at 15 kHz 2 dB.Diameter 50 mm, length 195 mm. Color black.

The WS6 is a powerful windscreen for directional microphones. Designed for use in windy recording environments, the WS6 combines an open-cell foam surround with an outer layer of acoustically transparent faux fur. A rubber base prevents wind noise from reaching the back of the microphone to the open area. Suitable for the RØDE NTG1, NTG2, NTG4 and NTG4+ as well as any directional microphone with a maximum slot length of 160.5 mm and a diameter of 21 to 22.5 mm.Key Features:High-performance windscreen for RØDE directional microphonesCompatible with all directional microphones with a maximum slot length of 160 mm and a diameter of 21 to 22.5 mmSuitable for the directional microphones NTG1, NTG2, NTG4 and NTG4+Acoustically transparent faux furEasy to assemble and removeTechnical specificationsMechanical SpecificationsWeight (g): 50Dimensions (mm): 100(H) x 100(W) x 185(D)
The DeadCat VMP is a fur windscreen for using the VideoMic Pro in windy locations. The synthetic fur fabric is designed in such a way that it does not exert any acoustic influence, but still effectively absorbs wind noise.
